Luminary is about Creativity, Curiosity and Connection. Contact us to curate a bespoke Away Day or Workshop at The Studio in Lewes. We have partnered with creatives and design experts, plus local chefs and wellbeing practitioners. We believe that creative work should be deeply nourishing – in every sense, and that in order to step forward into new ways of making, creating (and living) we need to become more aligned and connected.
Luminary Workshops
Learn how to extract inks and dyes from foraged wild plants and hedgerow flowers, together with Anna Starmer and Clare O’Leary. Immerse yourself in the art of creating natural colours, this is a study of the season, as we learn from the plants and flowers growing wild on the South Downs at this time of year. Including a walk in nature, making dyestuff and dyeing fabrics to take home, plus a locally foraged vegan lunch.

Vintage Jewellery 16/11/24
Create your own unique piece of jewellery, in the most beautiful setting at Luminary Studio in Lewes. Katie Weiner and Vivienne Ridley share their wealth of knowledge and experience, guiding you to re-design your own bespoke piece, choose from a curated collection of vintage treasures to make your own sustainable jewellery. Location
Our new studio is housed in a 400 year old converted coaching Inn right in the heart of Lewes in East Sussex, just an hour or so from London Victoria. Renovated responsibly and with sustainable building practice at its heart, full of character, heritage and a sensitive approach to colour, surface and reclaimed materials throughout. The Studio has two unique spaces for hire, a photographic location and event space.
Workshops
We are delighted to be able to have the perfect space where we can host client workshops and creative sessions, alongside our our archive of design books, colour and materials. We will be inviting like-minded creatives to share their wisdom, and host gatherings, as we build our network of learning, creating and healing.
