Pantone have announced the colour of the year for next year, and it seems we will all be surrounding ourselves with greenery. Just as 'Rose Quartz' offered us much needed calmness, comfort and quiet for 2016, Greenery promises to shine a light on our world in 2017.
“Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalise, Greenery symbolises the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.” – Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute.
In Luminary Spring Summer 2018, we have a story entitled 'Nurture', with a similar emphasis on greens, from natural greens to urban greens. At Luminary Colour, we put the future focus on a soft eucalyptus green shade.
"Green represents growth and new beginnings, as spring arrives we have a conscious focus on the outdoors, nature and rebirth. Soft eucalyptus green is a key colour as we emerge into spring. Eau de nil, and minty transparent greens emerge from the modern glasshouse." Anna Starmer
